How to reach
The holiday farmhouse “Il Pino” is in Deruta, in the district of Castelleone,
(400 m above sea level), 15 kilometres from Perugia. Deruta is world-wide
known for the creation of artistic potteries whose production started
in the 14th century. The former monastery of St. Francis now hosts the
Museum of Ceramics; special importance is given to the “archaic” and the
“polished” majolicas, the latter ones are the result of a technique coming
from the middle-east which impresses iridescent golden and reddish effects.
